Resources and Opportunities
The UO Career Center supports students and alumni in gaining professional experience, making meaning out of past experiences, and choosing meaningful future plans. Not everyone's career looks the same, and we have resources to help you explore your passions and find the direction that is right for you. This includes internship/job database, on-campus or phone mock interviews, career fairs, classes and workshops, and specific career services for international students.
UO SOJC Career Services can help you with career exploration and research, the internship and job search process, resume review/critique, drafting a cover letter and interview preparation. We offer one-on-one career appointments, career workshops, a career planning class and various career-related events to help you reach your goals. You can find SOJC Career & Academic Advisers in the Student Services office (134 Allen Hall). Call the front desk at 541-346-2884 for an appointment, or come in during drop-in hours, Monday-Friday 9-11 am and 1-4 pm.
Flock is a community of intelligent, motivated, and ambitious women from the University of Oregon that helps each other get jobs, get paid, and shine. The full website (hey-flock.com) is currently under construction, but the Medium blog site has lots of information on moving to big cities and working post grad. Also follow the group on Twitter and Instagram @hey_flock.
The Mohr Center supports the success of the college by coaching students to envision their own success and make informed decisions about their career futures. We offer career advising and support, host workshops and networking events, and provide resources through the University of Oregon's online Handshake career management platform. Please familiarize yourself with all our resources and use Handshake to schedule an appointment. Our office is located at 155 Lillis and we are open from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Phone 541-346-3301.
